Mission Statement

"CAN" works with in The Churches of Christ to provide Christian Counselling to people living with HIV/AIDS and to encourage our Churches to reach out and evangelise them. We do training for counsellors, counselling and motivate the sick members to work together and do several things that keeps them busy and fetch them some income for their families and for the sustainability of the organization.

We are committed to reaching out for people living with HIV/AIDS and invite them to eternal life that is in Christ Jesus. We do this in several ways:

We train people in counseling, skills, sex education, AIDS information, support group development, and other related topics. We do most of this in small groups of ten's. We also help children who are orphans and help link up supporting parents abroad to these unfortunate children.

CAN, is a non-government organization established in the Busoga Churches of Christ to provide the public with voluntary and confidential counseling and referral testing for HIV/ AIDS. We also establish support groups that are developmental and are socially supportive.

CAN members are involved in different projects to support the group and this involves the sale handmade crafts made from natural resources like banana fibers, papyrus leaves, seeds... We also make things from recycled items like Magazines, polythene and many others.

CAN exists in the Busoga Churches of Christ to prevent the spread of HIV and mitigate its impact by being a model of excellence in the provision and expansion of voluntary counseling and referral testing, information and education and promotion of care and support. Above all the primary objective of CAN is to provide Christian counseling to the infected and the affected.

In our Christian AIDS Network (CAN), the concept CAN, which is the acronym of our organization as a developmental tool becomes reality as explorers wander through search engines looking for answers to their questions. We are the only Christian counseling organization targeting Churches to sensitize them of the need to reach out to the infected and affected of HIV/AIDS scourge. We train our Church leaders to actively be prepared to meet challenges they meet as they come across these people in the process of spreading the word of God. The Christian AIDS Network it is non-denominational and non-political organizations, child brain of Jinja Church of Christ.
